I recommend it as a reference book for ESL teachers and advanced learners who want to understand grammatical structure. It's very useful for explaining specific grammar points, but the relationship to context is weak, which is the newer approach to language learning. "Fun With Grammar" is an excellent companion, providing interactive practice following Azar's format. I'm sure this was amazing when it first came out. It's still a valuable resource, but now there are so many ESL books out there, it no longer is the "Bible" it once was.

I received it on time and in good condition. It is one of the good/detailed grammer books I've seen.
The CD ROM is helpful as well. Great book. Good for inside class teaching and stay home self study. I like this book a lot. It's very useful in the class and colorful pictures shows vivid examples.
In addition, you can learn grammar all by yourself step by step. It is good for advanced learner if you have learned english grammar for a while. This book can really induce you to speak english using correct grammar, not just using correct grammar for writing.
